Privacy policy

Kirkjufell Cottage collects no data about you. Nothing you do in the game leaves your device.
The app
- No data collection. The app does not collect, store on a server, share or sell any personal information or usage data.
- No network. The game is bundled with the app and plays offline. It makes no network requests, and it has no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting services.
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign in to.
- On your device only. Your settings and your saved world (where you are, the time, the fire and so on) are kept in the app's own storage on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
- Photos. When you take a photo in the game, it is added to your Photos library (iPhone and iPad) or Pictures folder (Mac). The app asks only for permission to add photos, so it cannot see the rest of your library.
- Device settings. The app reads a few system settings to fit the game to your device: text size, Reduce Motion, closed captions, Low Power Mode, how warm the device is, and the device model and memory, to pick a picture quality. These are used on the device and never sent anywhere.
- Game controllers and haptics are handled by your device and the app; no information about them leaves it.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect against abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it serves them, under Google's privacy policy.
Children
The app collects no information from anyone, including children.
If you write to us for support, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and delete them when they are no longer needed.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
